The cost depends on your vehicle’s year, make, and model. Fobs for domestic vehicles like Ford, Chevy, and Toyota are generally more straightforward to source than luxury or specialty models. At this time, we do not service any European makes.

You have two options and we handle both.
We source and program the fob for you. In most cases, we can get the right fob quickly and bring it to you. We cut the key blade if needed and program the fob to your vehicle in a single visit.
You already have a fob. If you purchased a replacement fob on your own, bring it and we will cut and program it to your vehicle. Keep in mind that fobs purchased from third-party sellers are not always compatible, so call us before you buy and we can tell you whether the part is likely to work.
One thing to know upfront: we do not service European makes. If you drive a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, or similar brand, we will let you know immediately so you are not wasting time.
Push-to-Start Key Fobs: Vehicles with push-button ignitions use a proximity fob paired to the car’s computer. If you have lost your only fob, the vehicle will not start until a replacement is programmed to it. We source, cut if needed, and program push-to-start fobs for most domestic and Japanese makes.
Flip Key Fobs and Detachable Blade Fobs: Many vehicles use a fob with a physical key blade that flips out or slides free. These require the blade to be cut to your vehicle’s lock code and the remote to be programmed separately. We do both in one visit.
Remote Head Keys: Older integrated fob styles where the remote buttons are part of the key head. These still require transponder chip programming and remote programming, both of which we handle on-site.
Replacement Remotes Only: If your physical key is intact but the remote stopped working, we can program a standalone replacement remote to your vehicle without cutting a new blade.
We work with most domestic and Japanese makes, including Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, and Mazda. We do not service European makes, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, or Land Rover. If you are unsure whether your vehicle qualifies, call 623-824-3951 and we will tell you right away.
Having this information ready speeds up your service call: your year, make, and model; your VIN (found on the dashboard near the windshield or on the driver’s side door jamb); proof of ownership such as your registration or title, which we require before any work begins; and your location, since we come to wherever the vehicle is.
Most fob programming jobs take 30 to 60 minutes on-site. If we are also cutting a key blade, the job falls toward the higher end of that window. We carry professional automotive programming tools and work directly at your location in the Greater Phoenix area, so there is no drop-off, no waiting room, and no return trip to pick up your keys.
Yes. If your original fob is still working, we can program an additional fob to your vehicle in the same visit. Having a backup prevents a much more expensive lost-fob situation later. Ask us about adding a spare when you call.
Yes. Lost-only-fob situations are one of the most common calls we handle. As long as we can verify ownership and your vehicle is not a European model, we can get a replacement fob programmed and your vehicle running again.
We are fully mobile. We come to your home, workplace, or roadside location throughout the Greater Phoenix area. If your vehicle will not start because of a missing fob, you do not need a tow.
Sometimes. Third-party fobs vary widely in quality and compatibility. Before you buy, call us with your year, make, and model. We will tell you whether an aftermarket fob is a viable option for your vehicle or whether you are better off with OEM-equivalent parts.
If a fresh battery does not fix the issue, the fob itself may have failed or lost its programming. In some cases it can be re-synced; in others, a replacement is the faster and cheaper path. Call us and we can usually diagnose it over the phone based on your vehicle and symptoms.
